The Xero Beautiful Business Fund is an initiative aimed at supporting small business customers in various countries, including Australia. The initiative offers over NZ$750,000 in funding to selected small businesses, allowing them to continue their operations and thrive in their respective markets. The fund is designed to help those businesses navigate challenges and invest in their future growth, emphasising the importance of sustaining and nurturing beautiful businesses.
Xero’s Beautiful Business Fund will select four winners from each of the participating countries, and each winner will receive NZ$20,000 in funding. From the country-level winners, four global winners will be chosen, and they will receive an additional NZ$50,000 each. This structure encourages and rewards small businesses in multiple countries, recognising their achievements and potential for global impact. The initiative aims to provide financial support and recognition to help these businesses continue to thrive and contribute to the concept of “beautiful businesses.”
The Xero Beautiful Business Fund initiative consists of four categories available in seven countries, and there is no limit on how many categories a business can enter. Here are the four categories in which businesses can participate:
Innovating for Sustainability: This category focuses on businesses that are making efforts to adopt sustainable practices, reduce their environmental impact, or develop innovative solutions for a more sustainable future.
Trailblazing with Technology: This category is for businesses that have demonstrated excellence in leveraging technology to streamline their operations, improve customer experiences, or innovate within their industry.
Strengthening Community Connection: Businesses that actively engage with and contribute to their local communities, fostering strong connections and making a positive social impact, would fit this category.
Upskilling for the Future: This category is intended for businesses that prioritise employee development, training, and upskilling, ensuring that their workforce is prepared for future challenges and opportunities.
Businesses that believe they qualify for multiple categories are encouraged to enter all relevant ones to maximize their chances of receiving funding and recognition. This approach allows a diverse range of businesses to showcase their strengths and contributions in various areas, aligning with the overall theme of supporting and celebrating “beautiful businesses.”
